Part B:Jonathon Morris

1. I choose Jonathan Morris because for the last nine years, he had helped many youth out of depression and talked them out of committing suicide. Not a lot of people think that young people have reasons to be depressed or to commit suicide. But now a day, it's becoming more and more uncommon because of unhealthy ''beauty'' image that is betrayed in today's media, peer pressure and stress. J.M. Is making our society more mentally healthy in other words.

A. The world leader I admire most is Martin Luther King. He always stood for what he believed in no matter what. He was also brave and an amazing leader. Quotes about citizenship: “A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high virtues of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation.” -Thomas Jefferson http://en.proverbia.net/citastema.asp?tematica=193 Quotes about leadership: “Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” -Harold R. McAlindon http://www.inspirational-quotes.info/leadership.html external image martin-luther-king2.jpg Martin Luther King

B. If I had to choose a person from either of the websites to speak to the class, I think it would have to be Jeff Vaughan. I chose him because of his love for the community he lives in, and his passion for it's beauty, and believes it can be "more caring, more beautiful, more litter-free and healthy." I feel that we need more people like this in our community to be able to make a difference. The description of the things Vaughan does seems very remarkable. It states how he is able to make vonlunteering seem fun, and cool and he teached how people can "give back." I think that my peers and I would be able to learn a lot from him because of these things. Its almost as if people need an "okay" in order to can started on things. The same way a class would give presentations and no one would want to go first. I think he would provide the comfort, reassurance and support of making the first move that other people need to get started on making there community a nicer place to live. I would like to have the same qualities and Jeff Vaughan. I would love to be able to take charge and make a stand no matter what other people thought.
